| These autonomic function tests are generally not performed in patients with fever, acute symptoms, unstable conditions, or those requiring medical attention. Also, if possible and under the advice of the attending physician, medications that affect the autonomic nervous system should be discontinued before the tests. In addition, please inform us about all medications the patient is currently taking.
